Bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Lebanon
The Lebanese Republic recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 30th of December 1991. A protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was signed on the 28th of September 1992.
The Republic of Lebanon and the Republic of Azerbaijan have passive relations due to the influence of the local Armenian community. In order to mitigate the effects of the Beirut Port bombing on August 4, 2020, the Azerbaijani government granted financial aid to the Lebanese government in the amount of one million US dollars. In comparison to bilateral collaboration, mutually beneficial cooperation is carried out within the framework of international organizations.
